Silver Docs film festival

So I went to the silver docs film festival, and I watched "Garbage Warrior" which was documented by Oliver Hodge. It was basically about an architect named Micheal Reynolds. He decided to create homes out of plastic bottles, and tires. These are pretty amazing. It is artistically beautiful while also being environmentally friendly. Not only is there no heating or cooling system, it is a fully self-sustainable home with food, and plants. Its just a really visionary idea that he turned into reality. And I feel that we need to be more accepted towards these ideas. I really love the idiot who said "global warming doesn't exist. It cannot be scientifically prove" although not word for word, its the gist of it. Honestly, how can someone be so stupid as to ignor global warming completely it is a very important topic that really needs to be dealt with.

Welcome

Hello everyone,
I would like to introduce myself. I am Kelly Tang, and I want to make a postive impact on the world. I have constantly tried to find things to do that can help the world by doing simple and little deeds around the community. I find it really rewarding to do community service. Yet i feel as if other young people (like me, i'm only 17) really are not well aware of the real issues that we are faced with. We know about global warming, and we know about endangered animals, but i feel as if we really don't know it... we brush it off as if it is something that will fix itself over time. But we have to take action.
I decided to start this blog for so many reasons..and in order to not ramble i'd like to bullet them:
  • Ways we can craft to better the world. Check out : http://www.craftivism.com
  • Simple ways we can improve the world
  • Why we should take steps to improve the world
  • Raise awareness of endangered animals, and other issues
  • Introduce indie crafters, designers, and artists who strive to make eco-friendly products
  • Products that are earth-friendly, yet really cute

I just have alot of ideas and I would like to start this blog. I hope you stay for the rest of the ride!!
